Apologies for the radio silence, this fall has been full of exciting changes. I’ve moved states (LOVING our new home, the kids’ schools are fabulous and life is good) which meant a period of settling in and adjusting to new routines. I am happy to announce that I am back to writing, and Post Magic is scheduled to wrap up in the next few weeks. We’ve also started recording book two in the Inner Origins series for Audible, AND two of my poems were selected for publication in the Momaya Poetry Review
. One of the poems is straight out of Post Magic, which has haiku laced throughout the story to create one epic poem, or renga.
I know many of you are busy with holiday shopping and prep, so I’ll keep this letter short and sweet — I just wanted to make sure you all knew I have not forgotten you, and am wishing you a VERY HAPPY HOLIDAY SEASON & FAE-TASTIC NEW YEAR!
I’ve been baking up storm, too — here is my kid’s favorite new recipe. They LOVE making the thumbprints and filling them with their favorite jams, and I love how healthy they are!
1.5 cups flour
1/4 cup sugar
1/2 tsp baking soda
1/4 tsp salt
3/4 cup peanut butter (smooth or chunky, you decide)
1/4 cup butter
1/4 cup honey
1 TBS milk
Your favorite jelly or jam
Preheat Oven to 375F
Combine dry ingredients, then mix in PB & butter till mixture is crumbly
Stir in honey and milk
Shape into 1-inch balls and place 1 inch apart on ungreased baking sheet
Make thumbprint indentation in center of each
Fill each imprint with jam (approximately 1/2 tsp)
Bake for 8-10 minutes, until set.
Cool and enjoy!
